Juventus

After their embarrassing loss to Premier League side, Chelsea in the Champions League Juventus will turn their attention to the Serie A where they will look to pick up a positive result.

The Old Lady were beaten 4-0 by Chelsea on Tuesday with goals from Trevoh Chalobah, Reece James, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Timo Werner condemning them to their first UCL loss of the season.

In Serie A, they were expected to mount a title challenge this season following the return to title-winning coach Max Allegri. But instead of a title charge, the visitors find themselves sitting in 8th place after 13 rounds of games, eleven points behind Napoli who are topping the table.

The main problem has been inconsistency as they have won just two of their last five league games (D1, L2).

However, they have proven too strong at home in recent times and come into this tie with five wins from their last six home games (L1). A win in this game is a must for them if they are to remain within the title shot and Allegri will be desperate to make amends following their embarrassing loss to Chelsea.

Possible Juventus starting line-ups

Wojciech Szczesny; Danilo, Leonardo Bonucci, Matthijs De Ligt, Alex Sandro; Juan Cuadrado, Weston McKennie, Manuel Locatelli, Adrien Rabiot; Alvaro Morata, Federico Chiesa.

Doubtful: Paulo Dybala, Danilo, De Sciglio

The Bergamo-based club are Serie A’s most in-form team at the moment having taken eleven points from the last available 15 in the league. They have scored 13 times in that period, conceding seven times to push themselves into the top four.

Gian Piero Gasperini’s side were held to a 3-3 draw with Young Boys in the Champions League in midweek, extending their unbeaten run in all competitions to seven games (W3, D4).

They will look to continue that impressive form when they travel to Turin.
