Juventus

Juventus returned to winning ways last week when they defeated Salernitana 2-0. Goals from Paulo Dybala and Alvaro Morata gave Juventus the deserved win and ended a run of two consecutive losses for the Old Lady.

The win also kept them within the top seven, level on points with Fiorentina with 24 points. With a 12 points chasm between them and the top, Juventus’s title ambition is not dead and burd yet.

Max Allegri’s side have enough games to shorten the gap but must begin picking up points from games against smaller teams.

After a disastrous start to the season, they came back to form briefly only to fall back down to earth with two consecutive league losses in October.

Their last home outing saw them lose 1-0 to Atalanta. But against Genoa they will look to avoid another poor showing.

Possible Juventus starting line-ups

Wojciech Szczesny; Juan Cuadrado, Giorgio Chiellini, Matthijs de Ligt, Alex Sandro; Manuel Locatelli, Rodrigo Bentancur, Dejan Kulusevski, Federico Bernardeschi; Paulo Dybala, Alvaro Morata.

Injured: Danilo, Mattia De Sciglio, Aaron Ramsey, Federico Chiesa, Weston McKennie

Genoa

Struggling Genoa will travel to Turin looking to pick up their first league win since mid-September.

The visitors have now gone 12 matches without victory in the league. A  3-0 loss to AC Milan last time out made it three games without a goal for the Ligurian outfit who are sitting right inside the relegation zone after 15 rounds of games.

The visitors’ season has been one of disappointment. They have recorded just one win on the board through their opening 15 SA outings (D7, L7).

The main reason for their struggles this campaign has been a leaky defence which have conceded 29 goals this term. That is an average of 1.93 goals conceded per game. Comparatively, they are scoring an average of 0.8 goals per game this season.

Such numbers make them a firm relegation side while one clean sheet across eight SA away matches (W1, D4, L3) means that they will struggle to match up an improving Juventus side.

Possible Genoa starting line-ups

Salvatore Sirigu; Zinho Vanheusden, Johan Vásquez, Andrea Masiello; Paolo Ghiglione, Hernani, Valon Behrami, Milan Badelj, Andrea Cambiaso; Caleb Ekuban, Flavio Bianchi.

Injured: Stefano Sturaro, Nicolo Rovella, Nikola Maksimovic, Felipe Caicedo, Mattia Destro, Mohamed Fares, Yayah Kallon, Domenico Criscito, Francesco Cassata
