Los Blancos are ready to make moves in the summer transfer window to sign their long-time target Kylian Mbappe.

Real Madrid have devised a new strategy called operation exit to facilitate the transfer of long-time target Kylian Mbappe.

Mbappe has his contract running with PSG until the summer of 2022, and he appears to be looking for an exit.

Deprived of funds, Madrid are ready to place a truckload of players on the chopping block, so they can afford new signings in the summer transfer window.

However, many of the fringe players are unwilling to leave the La Liga side as they are looking to survive under new manager Carlo Ancelotti.

Club legend Sergio Ramos, who recently moved to PSG, has passed on his captaincy role to Marcelo, meaning that the Brazilian left-back would stay put at the Spanish capital.

Gareth Bale, who has returned from Tottenham after a season-long loan spell, is determined to play out his contract, which runs until next summer, and there are bigger chances for the Welshman to get more minutes under Ancelotti than his predecessor Zinedine Zidane.

Isco has been serving on the fringes for a few seasons, and AC Milan are interested in his services this summer.

The only possible sale which could happen in the window is Raphael Varane, who has entered talks with Manchester United after rejecting a contract extension from Los Blancos.

Then there are Alvaro Odrizola, Dani Ceballos and Martin Odegaard, who all want to remain with the first team and fight for their place.

Mbappe has long been linked with a move to Bernabeu, but Madrid are aware that they need to splurge for his transfer.

Getting the players off the salary book appears to be a smart idea, but it remains to be seen whether Madrid can do it before the summer window expires.
