Juventus

Juventus welcome defending champions Inter Milan to the Allianz Stadium as they go head to head in a top-four Sunday classic.

The Old Lady started the season poorly, picking up four scrappy wins in their first ten matches, but head coach Max Allegri seems to have found the right formula and form as the season wore on.

They beat Sportiva Salernitana in their last game before the international break, with Paulo Dybala and Dusan Vlahovic combining to ensure all three points were in the bag for the Italian giants.

As a result, Juventus now sit comfortably in the fourth position and within touching distance of AC Milan in first place, one point behind Inter Milan. Heading into this game, there has been mooted rumours about a late title push from corners of the Allianz Stadium and a win over Simone Inzaghi’s team will probably make such rumours gain traction.

Juventus have dominated this fixture in the past but have failed to win against Inter Milan this year, playing out a 1-1 draw in the reverse fixture and crashing out on the Coppa Italia in the hands of their Sunday visitors no thanks to a 2-1 loss.

Meanwhile, Maximiliano Allegri will be without the services of Denis Zakaria, Weston McKennie, Federico Chiesa and the suspended Luca Pellegrini when the reigning Champions come rolling into town.

Possible Juventus starting line-up

Wojciech Szczesny; Danilo, Matthijs de Ligt, Giorgio Chiellini, Daniele Rugani; Juan Cuadrado, Manuel Locatelli, Arthur Melo, Adrien Rabiot, Dusan Vlahovic, Alvaro Morata.

Injured: Kaio Jorge, Federico Chiesa, Weston McKennie

Doubtful: Denis Zakaria

Suspended: Luca Pellegrini

Inter Milan

Inter Milan broke the Bianconeri’s heart in February’s Supercoppa as Alexis Sanchez struck at the death. But the Nerazzurri endured a dire March. They exited the Champions League at the hands of Liverpool, and they have won just one of their last seven Serie A games.

The visitors went into the break with a disappointing draw at home to Fiorentina, with Denzel Dumfries cancelling out a Lucas Torreira goal. The result means that Simone Inzaghi’s side currently sit in third position, one point ahead of Juventus, and so they come into this encounter in desperate need of a resurgence.

With several Nerazzurri stars woefully out of touch, most notably Nicolo Barella and Lautaro Martinez, Inzaghi will be hoping that the recent break will work to his favour, and there will be no better way to reignite their title charge than by claiming victory on the road over Juventus in the Derby d’italia.

However, victory for the hosts will compromise the Nerazzurri’s scudetto chances. With no injured or suspended players, Inzaghi will be hoping to produce another win against the Bianconeri.

Possible Inter Milan starting line-up

Samir Handanovic, Milan Skriniar, Ranocchia, Alessandro Bastoni, Denzel Dumfries, Arturo Vidal, Nicola Barella, Hakan Calhanoglu, Ivan Perisic, Lautaro Martinez, Edin Dzeko.

Injured: Stefan de Vrij

Doubtful: None

Suspended: None
