Juventus winger Federico Chiesa grabbed the headlines following his impressive run with the Italian national team in the Euro 2020, eventually helping Roberto Mancini’s men to lift the trophy.

The 23-year-old was the catalyst in the attack, scoring crucial goals at knockout phases against Switzerland and Spain.

Perhaps, the Bianconeri star’s stellar form has led to transfer interests from European giants Chelsea and Bayern Munich. According to a new report, Premier League champions Manchester City joined the race.

Chiesa was also excellent for the Old Lady in his debut season after moving from Fiorentina, racking up 8 goals and 8 assists and turned out to be one of the best players in an otherwise underperforming Andrea Pirlo’s side.

Man City have already shortlisted Harry Kane and Jack Grealish as their top targets this summer and now have added the Italian youngster to the list.

Chelsea have registered their interest while Bayern manager Julian Nagelsmann recently spoke about reported interest in Chiesa, ruling out the possibility due to his high valuation.

However, Juve remain persistent on not selling their star forward and will make his loan deal a permanent one next summer for a fee worth 36m pounds.’

City are said to have placed some key players like Riyad Mahrez and Raheem Sterling on the transfer exchange to generate funds for the summer transfer targets.

Elsewhere at Juve, Max Allegri is prepping up his summer overhaul and will likely hand Chiesa a key role in the attack next season.

The former La Viola star was often deployed as a wing-back under Pirlo last season but would be reverted to his winger role next season.
