Chelsea are reportedly interested in bringing back Eden Hazard from Real Madrid, with the Spanish giants placing him on the chopping block.
Los Blancos are willing to sell the Belgian star for a reported 51m pounds as they want to generate funds to sign top targets like Kylian Mbappe.
The Blues are said to be considering the offer as Thomas Tuchel is interested in the return of Hazard, who was the club’s best player for years before he moved to La Liga.
However, things didn’t pan out well for the 30-year-old at the Spanish capital as he became injury-prone which prevented him from showing his true class.
Now, Real Madrid are ready to cut ties with Hazard after back-to-back disappointing seasons. The player himself appears to have become frustrated after failing to live up to his expectations.
In contrast, new Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has recently stated that Hazard would be in his plans for the upcoming season while praising the Belgian’s qualities.
The Premier League side would undoubtedly benefit from the return of the Belgian, who can bring the cutting edge to the attack. He is a top-class player, but he has to cope up with Chelsea’s current ambition under Thomas Tuchel. His age and fitness would be concerns for current European champions.
