Udinese

Udinese will look to make it back-to-back Serie A wins this Sunday when they host Inter Milan.

After dropping points in recent games, the hosts roared to life in their last game as they dispatched Fiorentina 4-0 away from home. The result was the third time Gabriele Cioffi’s side were scoring four or more goals in a game over the last six games.

That newfound attacking verve will be crucial for the ‘White and Blacks’ whose current goal difference of 1+ is among the worst in the league, especially for a club that is fighting to finish in the top half of the table.

They come into this tie sitting in 12th place, three points behind tenth-placed Sassuolo. A win in this fixture could put them level with Sassuolo assuming they fail to win their game over Napoli.

But given that they haven’t beaten Inter in eight tries, it will not be a simple task for them in this game. But considering the manner they won Fiorentina last Wednesday, they will come into this game with confidence.

Possible Udinese starting line-up

Marco Silvestri; Rodrigo Becão, Pablo Mari Villar, Nehuén Pérez; Nahuel Molina Lucero, Tolgay Arslan, Walace, Roberto Pereyra, Destiny Udogie; Gerard Deulofeu, Isaac Success.

Injured: Beto, Antonio Santurro

Doubtful: None

Suspended: None

Inter Milan

Inter Milan will look to get their title quest back on track when they travel to Udine on Sunday.

The visitors missed the chance to go top of the Serie A table last Wednesday as they were beaten 2-1 by Bologna. In a disappointing game at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara, Inter Milan took the lead in the third minute through Ivan Perisic. But a first-half equaliser by Marko Arnautović and a costly error by young goalkeeper Andrei Radu turned the game in favour of Bologna.

The result also ended I Nerazzurri’s five game-winning run. It equally ended a run of 12 games without defeat for the defending champions whose hope of winning back-to-back Serie A titles rests on AC Milan dropping points in their games.

While the hope that results elsewhere favour them, Simone Inzaghi’s side will want to recapture the form and focus that allowed them to go 12 games unbeaten. With just four games to play, there is very little room for error and they will be desperate to avoid any errors.

Possible Inter Milan starting line-up

Samir Handanovic; Stefan de Vrij, Alessandro Bastoni, Milan Skriniar; Denzel Dumfries, Nicola Barella, Marcelo Brozovic, Hakan Calhanoglu, Ivan Perisic; Lautaro Martinez, Edin Dzeko.

Injured: Robin Gosens

Doubtful: None

Suspended: None
