The Chelsea striker has agreed a deal to move to Turin.

Juventus have chosen their alternative for striker target Luis Suarez, who could stay at Barcelona this season.

According to reports, Juve have identified Chelsea striker Oliver Giroud as the replacement for the Uruguayan.

The Serie A champions have been heavily linked with a move to Suarez, who is also said to have agreed personal terms with them.

However, recent reports suggest that the former Liverpool man could play out his contract at the Nou Camp although he is not in the plans of Ronald Koeman. Meanwhile, Atletico Madrid have shown interest in signing Suarez of late.

Elsewhere, Giroud’s chances with the first team are bleak following the arrival of Timo Werner. Tammy Abraham’s presence also could minimise the role of the French striker.

Giroud proved out to be handy for Frank Lampard’s side at times last season, which saw him extend his contract for another year.

The 33-year-old was linked with a move to Inter Milan in the January transfer window, only to stay put at Stamford Bridge in the end.

Giroud is said to have given the nod to a move to Juve in search of first-team football.

Furthermore, the Frenchman believes it is the only way to stay relevant in the national team.

The Bianconeri will be required to pay the desired fee for the transfer of Giroud as his contract expires next season. He is rated around 4.6 million pounds by the Blues.
