Real Madrid crashed out of the Champions League after a 2-1 defeat to Manchester City today.

The Premier League side had managed to win the first leg 2- 1, and they did well to get the job done at home as well.

Raheem Sterling scored the first goal of the game for Manchester City after an error from Raphael Varane.

The French defender failed to control a pass from Courtois, and Gabriel Jesus managed to press the ball from him and put it on a plate for his teammate.

Real Madrid struggled without their star defender Sergio Ramos, and Manchester City managed to create plenty of chances throughout the game.

The Spanish Giants got back into the game when Karim Benzema scored a magnificent header, but Manchester City managed to hold on and doubled their lead later on in the game.

Gabriel Jesus scored the second goal of the game for the home side.
Pep Guardiola’s side are now in the quarter-finals of the Champions League, and it will be interesting to see if they can go all the way and win the trophy this season.

Manchester City have never won the Champions League in their history, and it would be a fitting end to their season if they did so this year.

The Premier League giants conceded the title to Liverpool domestically, and they will be looking to end their season on a high by winning a Premier European competition.
