Zidane expects more physical battle from Liverpool

Real Madrid have drawn up Liverpool as their Champions League quarter-final opponents. Both the sides had previously met in the UCL finals of 2017/18 before Madrid lifted the trophy.

Now ahead of another major showdown, Zinedine Zidane knows what to expect from the Reds, especially on the physical level.

‘We know Liverpool: they’ll demand a lot from us physically, but this is for us to think about after the international break.

“This season as a whole is tough. We can’t get ahead of ourselves, we have to take things day by day and be ready for whatever happens. We know we’re alive in the title race and we want to carry on working hard for that.

Both the sides share a similar trajectory – a fluctuating one – in their respective leagues but have been successful in the Champions League this season.

Ramos has Salah’s number, claims former player Roberto Carlos

Former Madrid legend Roberto Carlos has offered his view on the key battle between Sergio Ramos and Mohamed Salah.

Both the stars were part of the finals in Kyiv in 2018, with Salah being taken out early after what looked like a cynical foul from Madrid skipper Ramos.

The incident has brewed a rivalry between these two stars and we will witness it again next month.

According to Carlos, Ramos would prevail in the battle with the Egyptian forward.

The Brazilian also insisted that Madrid should make the most of the first leg played at home.

Salah is not even going to get close to Sergio,” Roberto Carlos joked. ” It will be an action that will be talked about a lot, “

We are going to play against a good team . The first game is at home, Real Madrid’s moment is great and they must decide the tie at home. “
