Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland continues to be a top target for Premier League Chelsea, with owner Roman Abramovich keen on luring him to Stamford Bridge this summer.

Reports also add that the Blues have agreed on personal terms for the Norwegian striker. They have submitted an offer worth £60m while also including Tammy Abraham in a part-exchange deal to Dortmund.

Haaland speaks about his future

Haaland has recently spoken about his future, insisting that he could soon take the next big step of his career.

“I have been taking a couple of steps over the past few years, and I think they have been good steps for me, personally, to get out of my comfort zone and to develop even more.

“I want to challenge myself in everything that I do. It’s something I think about. It’s also for everyone to always do this. People can sometimes be too comfortable staying in their ‘zone’, so I think it’s important to get out of that.”

Real Madrid firm on Haaland’s transfer

However, the Blues are not the only one interested in Haaland’s signing, as La Liga giants Real Madrid have been keeping tabs on him ahead of a potential summer transfer.

Los Blancos are ready to break the banks for the signature of the 20-year-old, while another report claims that their offer currently stands at 112m pounds, keeping them in pole position.

The Spanish heavyweights are preparing for a major summer overhaul, with Mbappe and Haaland cited as top targets.

Bayern Munich out of the Haaland race

Although it was reported that Bayern Munich was one of the suitors for Haaland, their CEO Oliver Kahn ruled out the possibility citing his expensive transfer fee. Kahan also stressed that the club would rely on the services of Robert Lewandowski, who has two years left in his current deal.

Haaland reportedly holds a release clause worth 75m euros, but it will come into effect only next summer. However, the Londoners are persistent in adding him to their attack ahead of next season.

The Champions League winners have a stacked attack which contains Timo Werner, Kai Havertz, Christian Pulisic and Callum Hudson Odoid and signing Haaland will only make them one of the fearsome units in Europe.
