UEFA Champions League: Ronaldo-Messi to meet again; PSG-United-RB in a group

Manuel Neuer-Bayern Munich

The UEFA Champions League draw was conducted earlier today and it has served up some thrilling clashes across Europe in the coming months.

Champions Bayern Munich have been placed in an exciting group comprising of Atletico Madrid, Salzburg and Lokomotiv Moscow.

Meanwhile, the likes of Manchester United have been drawn against some tough opposition in the group stages. The Red Devils will be up against PSG, Leipzig and Istanbul Basaksehir.

The most high profile group is perhaps G with Juventus and Barcelona in it. The football world will be waiting to see the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi face-off once again.

The two have not had the chance to compete against each other at club level since Ronaldo left Spain.

Premier League champions Liverpool have been handed an exciting group with Ajax and Atalanta as well. All three teams love to play free-flowing attacking football and group D could serve up some goal-laden clashes.

Meanwhile, Manchester City have been handed an easy group against the likes of Porto, Olympiacos and Marseille.

Pep Guardiola has not succeeded in winning the Champions League ever since he left Barcelona and he will be hoping to go all the way this year.
