Kylian Mbappe makes an emphatic return in PSG's 3-0 win against OGC Nice

Les Parisiens won their away leg against Nice.

PSG have secured a comprehensive 3-0 victory against Nice, with Angel Di Maria and Kylian Mbappe finding the score sheet.

Les Parisiens had their breakthrough in the 38th minute as Kylian Mbappe netted a penalty, followed up by Angel Di Maria’s tap-in goal in the added time of the first half.

The Argentine went on to assist for the goal of Marquinhos in the second half as PSG won the game comfortably.

Mbappe was spotless from the first minute and showed why his absence was a set-back in PSG’s defeats in the first two games. The French World Cup winner, who returned after recovering from coronavirus, also made PSG feel less about the absence of Neymar.

Di Maria continues to excel for the Ligue 1 champions as he produced a fantastic display – a goal and an assist – following the narrow win against Metz.

Nice were threatening for some period, especially on the right-flank with Roney Lopes and Youcef Attal. However, Keylor Navas, probably an unsung hero of the day, was very clinical with his saves. The former Real Madrid goalkeeper denied the efforts of Lopes and Evan Guessand.

Patrick Vieira’s men started the season strongly with back-to-back wins but have now lost two in a row. It is complete antithesis for PSG, who have bounced back after a sluggish start.

Thomas Tuchel’s men would face Reims in their next Ligue 1 fixture.
