Cristiano Ronaldo was the star man for Portugal at the FIFA World Cup 2018 once again, scoring the winner against Morocco at the Luzhniki Stadium.
Cristiano Ronaldo scores once again for Portugal with a brilliant header at 4th minute of the game. Moroccan defence was momentarily foxed by Bernardo passed the ball to Moutinho from a corner kick. Moutinho in turn lobbed it into the Moroccan box. Though El-Ahmadi made one last attempt to clear the ball, it was not enough.
After the goal, Portugal withdrew from the game and Moroccan made took control of the game. They came very close to scoring a number of times. On three definite occasions, Rui Patricio, the Portugal keeper saved brilliantly. He saved Belhanda’s shot from top of the box and a header, as well as, an header from Benatia. The last one would remain one of the best saves of World Cup 2018. Benatia, the Moroccan captain, missed two chances from close range at the end of the game.Whereas
Portugal and Morocco will play Iran and Spain respectively in their last group league matches. The top three teams have chance to qualify, depending upon the fate of their last group matches.
