Everton are interested to sign Atletico midfielder Thomas Lemar

Carlo Ancelotti - Everton Manager

Everton are very interested in signing the French attacking midfielder Thomas Lemar this summer.

As per reports, Atletico Madrid will look to demand a premium for the player if they are forced to sell him. Lemar cost them €70m in 2018 and they will not want to take a huge loss on the player.

It will be interesting to see if Carlo Ancelotti comes forward with an offer for the midfielder in the coming weeks.

Everton could use a top-class playmaker like Lemar and he would be a great addition to their midfield. However, Atletico’s demands could complicate any potential move.

Lemar has struggled to impress at the Spanish club and a move away from Spain would be ideal for him. Everton could give him the fresh start he needs right now and Ancelotti is a world-class manager who could bring out the best in him.

The Frenchman is a top-class talent who just needs to regain his form and confidence. He could do it with regular football in the Premier League next season.

Lemar has been linked with a move to England before as well. He was a target for Arsenal and Liverpool before moving to Atletico Madrid.

Everton need quality players to challenge for the European places next season and signings like Lemar would certainly help them.

It will be interesting to see if Ancelotti can convince Farhad Moshiri to break the bank for the Frenchman.

Considering the amount of money they spent on Sigurdsson in the past, Lemar might just be affordable for them if they are truly desperate to sign him.
