Bengaluru fall to another defeat, Stephen Eze scores winner for Jamshedpur FC

Jamshedpur FC picked up a 1-0 win over Bengaluru FC in the Indian Premier League earlier tonight.

Stephen Eze scored the only goal of the game on the 79th minute. The powerful target man got ahead of his marker and headed in Aniket Jadhav’ cross.

Bengaluru will be thoroughly disappointed with their performance tonight. Star striker Sunil Chhetri had three major chances in the first half to put his side ahead but he failed to convert them.

Meanwhile Nerijus Valskis had a great opportunity to find the net as well but he sent the ball blazing.

Gurpreet Singh Sandhu did well to keep his side in the game at half time by producing a superb save to deny Jackichand Singh’s header.

Rehenesh TP was quite impressive on the other end as well and he produced a couple of brilliant saves to keep the scoreline intact and deny Bengaluru.

Bengaluru could have easily picked up all three points tonight and they will have to improve their finishing immensely if they want to do well in the competition this season.

Jamshedpur FC managed to hold on for most of the game and they will be elated to have snatched the winner late on.

Bengaluru FC were probably the better team on the balance of play but their poor finishing has cost them. They enjoyed 55% ball possession tonight and the managed to have four shots on target as well.

The win tonight takes Jamshedpur FC up to third in the Indian Super League standings with 13 points from nine matches and  Bengaluru are fourth in the table just one point behind Jamshedpur.
