Western Sydney Wanderers

WS Wanderers will look to return to winning ways when they host Macarthur FC this weekend.

The hosts were beaten 2-2 by APIA Tigers in the FFA Cup earlier this week. The result ended Wanderers’ six-game unbeaten run as they crashed out of the competition.

In the league, the hosts beat Wellington Phoenix in the last round to leave them in fifth place. A win against Macarthur FC will put them into the top three places.

However, they are still winless against the visitors in two head-to-head meetings and will be desperate to end their poor record on the third try.

Possible Western Sydney Wanderers starting line-ups

Tomas Mejias; Rhys Williams, John Koutroumbis, Thomas Aquilina, Adama Traore; Steven Ugarkovic, Terry Antonis, Ramy Najjarine; Bernie Ibini-Isei, Dimitri Petratos, Tomer Hemed.

Injured: Vedran Janjetovic, Keanu Baccus

Macarthur FC

Macarthur FC were defeated by Sydney FC in the FFA Cup earlier this week, ending their participation in the tournament.

The win ended a four-game unbeaten run as well, and was the first time Ante Milicic’s side had failed to score a goal in their last four games.

They will look to get back to winning ways in the league where they have won two of their opening three games (D1) to shoot themselves to the top of the table.

But with just three goals to their name so far, they will have to figure out a way to score more goals in a match if they want to maintain their grip of the top spot for long.

Possible Macarthur FC starting line-ups

Nicholas Suman; Aleksandar Susnjar, Aleksandar Jovanovic, Tomislav Uskok; James Meredith, Charles M’Mombwa, Jordon Mutch, Craig Noone; Daniel De Silva, Lachlan Rose, Ulises Davila.

Injured: None

Doubtful: None

Suspended: None
