Erling Haaland Transfer: Chelsea eyeing part-exchange deal, Liverpool looking to raise funds

Erling Haaland-Borussia Dortmund

Chelsea could look to sign the Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland at the end of this season.

The Norwegian international is one of the best strikers in world football and the Blues could use a clinical presence like him upfront.

According to reports, Chelsea could use Timo Werner in a deal to sign the Dortmund striker. They would offer the German club Werner and some cash for Haaland.

Timo Werner has struggled to live up to the expectations since his big-money move to Stamford Bridge and it will be interesting to see if the London club decide to move him on this summer.

Haaland has scored 47 goals in 48 matches for Borussia Dortmund since joining the German club from RB Salzburg in January last year.

He would be a tremendous upgrade on Timo Werner and he could help Thomas Tuchel put together a title-winning side.

Liverpool interest

Meanwhile Premier League side Liverpool are keen on signing the Norwegian as well and manager Jurgen Klopp has already identified a few Liverpool players he could sell to fund a move for Erling Haaland.

According to reports, the Liverpool manager is considering selling at least one of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino to fund a big-money move for the Norwegian.

The Reds need to add more goals to the side and Firmino needs to be replaced after failing to recapture his form over the past two seasons.

Haaland would be an upgrade on the Brazilian and Klopp should look to cash in on the former Hoffenheim striker and keep a hold of Mane and Salah.
