The Frenchman had a hand in the third goal for Newcastle as he won a freekick at the edge of the Man City box after being felled down following a trademark run. Kieran Trippier converted from the free-kick to send the Magpies 3-1 ahead and St. James Park in raptures.
However, Erling Haaland and Bernardo Silva scored two quick-fire goals for Manchester City to ensure that the spoils were shared.
But the point was sufficient to ensure that Howe’s men continued their unbeaten start to the season while extending their unbeaten run in the EPL to five games (W3, D2). And so, they will travel to the Molineux as the more in-form team and the favourites for a win.
