Inter Milan players Lautaro Martinez and Romelu Lukaku have been linked with a move away from the Serie A club because of the Italian outfit’s dwindling finances.

It was reported earlier this month that Inter Milan have already asked their players to sacrifice wages of around two months in order to help the club deal with their financial crisis.

The Coronavirus crisis has had a major impact on football finances, and the Italian outfit are still reeling from its effects.

The Italian side have recently won the Scudetto after more than a decade, and it will be interesting to see if the players are willing to take a pay cut in order to help the club through this situation.

Alternatively, Inter Milan could look to bring down their wage bill by cashing in on a few players this summer.

According to reports, Inter Milan upset to avail a massive loan of around €200 million this week from an unknown American investor. Furthermore, they are also looking to reduce the operating costs by 15% next season.

It will be interesting to see if the club can convince their players you accept the pay cuts in the coming weeks now.

Apparently, the entire squad is upset that these details have been leaked and the negotiations are being carried out in public.

If Inter Milan fail to convince their players to take a pay cut, they will be forced to cash in on star players like Lukaku and Martinez.

Manager Antonio Conte has been linked with a return to the Premier League as well, and it remains to be seen how the situation unfolds over the next few weeks.
