Brazilian teenager Kayky poised for a big future

Manchester City confirmed the signing of Brazilian teenage talent Kayky from Fluminense last month and he is set to join the Sky Blues next January.

The 18-year-old, who has drawn the nickname left-footed Neymar for his style of play, has been impressive for Fluminense, becoming the club’s youngest ever goalscorer in Copa Libertadores.

Man City have been following the blueprint of Real Madrid in the transfer market, which is snapping up the young talents from Brazil. The Premier League champions have made a bargain in the transfer of Kayky, agreeing to pay an initial fee of £8m and added bonus depending on his progress.

Reserves star Romeo Lavia has much to offer for Citizens

Man City reserves star Romeo Lavia looks to have a bright future at Etihad Stadium.

The 17-year-old holding midfielder has been impressive for City’s U-23 side this season after completing his move from Anderlecht.

As the scout reports suggest, the Belgian teenager has a wide array of skill set to thrive in the midfield and can be a natural heir to Fernandinho, who is set to leave City this summer.

Although it looks too early to make a leap to the first team, Lavia is such a top talent and Pep Guardiola would be keeping an eye on his progress. However, the Belgian prodigy will face stern competition for his place as the likes of Rodri, Ilkay Gundogan and Kevin De Bruyne are expected to be an integral part of the first team for years to come.
