Wolves picked up a 1-0 win over Olympiacos in the Europa League earlier today.

Raul Jimenez scored the only goal of the game from the penalty spot eight minutes into the game.

The Premier League side had drawn the first leg 1-1 away from home and they needed to win here in order to progress through to the next round of the competition.

Although the performance wasn’t too convincing, Nuno Espirito Santo will be pleased to see that his side have managed to grind out the all important result.

Rui Patricio pulled off a few important saves to get Wolves over the line today.

Wolves are capable of playing a lot better and they will have to improve their performances if they want to win the competition this season. It is the only way they will be able to qualify for European football next season.

It will be interesting to see how they perform in the next round of the tournament now.

The likes of Adama Traore struggled to make an impact against the Greek outfit today. The Spaniard has been unplayable at times this season and Wolves will need him firing on all cylinders if they want to win the Europa League.

He and Jimenez will be the key to their European ambitions.

Olympiacos will be disappointed to have crashed out of the Europa League having come so close. A better defensive showing at home could have kept them in the competition.

Wolves will be travelling to Germany to face five-time winners Sevilla next Tuesday in the Quarterfinals of the competition.
