Mino Raiola informs Manchester United the cost of tying Paul Pogba down to a new deal

Paul Pogba- Manchester United

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba is prepared to sign a new deal at Old Trafford but the Red Devils will have to fork out an eye watering sum of money.

According to reports, the French midfielder’s agent Mino Raiola has informed the Premier League side that they will have to pay £500,000 per week to the World Cup winner.

Furthermore, Pogba has lucrative image rights which will take his earnings close to £800,000 a week.

The midfielder has a contract at Old Trafford until the summer of 2022 and it will be interesting to see if Manchester United can convince him to sign a new deal this summer.

The Red Devils cannot afford to lose a player of his quality on a free transfer next year and therefore they will have to consider selling him this summer if he refuses to sign a new contract.

The midfielder has been linked with a return to Juventus in recent months and it remains to be seen where he ends up this summer.

Pogba has shown improvement under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer this season and he could be a big player for Manchester United next year if he manages to stay fit.

It is understandable why the 28-year-old midfielder is demanding a massive contract from Manchester United. He’s at that stage of his career where this could be his last big contract and he wants to rake in as much money as possible.

The World Cup winner is one of the best midfielders in the world when he’s fit and he has the potential to justify Manchester United’s outlay on him if he manages to stay injury-free next season.
