The Colombian playmaker could leave Goodison Park this summer, with Milan looking to be his possible destination.
James Rodriguez appeared to have revived his career after moving to Everton from Real Madrid last summer at the behest of manager Carlo Ancelotti.
The Colombian was also excellent in the opening of the Premier League season before injury hindered his progress.
Now with Ancelotti parted ways with the Toffees to become the manager of Los Blancos, James is also said to be eyeing an exit this summer.
According to reports, AC Milan are willing to provide the Colombian an escape route this summer, with his agent Jorge Mendes appearing to be on the lookout for new suitors.
Rossoneri are currently in the market for a creative midfielder following Hakan Calhanoglu’s shock departure to join the rivals Inter Milan and have shortlisted James as a potential replacement.
The former Madrid ace was left disappointed after his exclusion from the Colombian national team for Copa America. Now, he is looking for a green pasture to rejuvenate his career.
James would be a great addition to Stefano Pioli’s side as he can create a similar impact Calhanoglu had done over the years. Furthermore, with the Serie A set to play in the Champions League after a long time, the Colombian’s experience would be highly helpful.
Rossoneri are also said to be keeping tabs on playmakers like Isco, Philippe Coutinho and Hakim Ziyech.
It will be interesting to see where James would end up eventually, as he is also said to be on the transfer radar of Atletico Madrid and Napoli.
