The Italian journalist has revealed the summer transfer plans of the Reds.

Reliable Italian journalist Fabrizio has revealed the summer transfer plans of Liverpool.

The Reds have been linked with a handful of players in the summer transfer window as they look to make up for the troubled last season.

Now, Romano has revealed what the Merseyside club is looking for in the transfer window, stating that signing a winger is a top priority.

The Premier League club would miss the services of key players Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane for the first few weeks due to their participation in the African Cup of Nations.

Hence, Jurgen Klopp could be looking for a new wide player who can be a stopgap option for Salah and Mane.

Although there haven’t been any wingers linked so far bar Bayern Munich’s Kingsley Coman, it would be a smart move to bring some quality players up front who can provide competition with the trident Salah, Firmino and Mane.

Next up is trimming the squad strength as the Reds could sell fringe players like Xherdan Shaqiri and Divock Origi, who have struggled for playing time over the last two seasons.

Klopp’s side could go for midfielders, although Romano says that it is not their priority for the time being.

They have been linked with a host of midfielders as Klopp is said to be keen on strengthening the middle of the park following the departure of Georginio Wijnaldum.

Youri Tielemans and Renato Sanches are the names running high on the wishlist of the Reds.
