Arsenal register 4-0 victory over Norwich City at Emirates Stadium. With the win, Arsenal moved to the seventh spot of the Premier League table. On the other hand Norwich City’s hopes of staying in the Premier League faded further.
Both of the Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang goals were due to Norwich’s defensive gaffe.
Krul could not hold possession of the ball, upon a challenge from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang on the edge of his own penalty area, the Gabon forward placed the ball at the back of the net.
Aubameyang then provided the the cross for Swiss midfielder Granit Xhaka, who swept home his first club goal after March 2019. Aubameyang scored the third from a similar scenario, when he received the ball after a defensive error by Josip Drmic.
Cedric Soares completed the rout, the substitute scoring from outside the penalty area within four minutes of his Gunners debut. Now he has scored as many Premier League goals for Arsenal as he managed in 120 appearances while at Southampton
Norwich have lost six of their last seven Premier League games and not scored in each of those defeats, with the Canaries suffering four straight league defeats without a goal for the first time since May 2016.
