Chelsea picked up a 1-0 win over Norwich in the Premier League last night.
Olivier Giroud scored the only goal of the game for the Blues. The Frenchman managed to score with a powerful header in the first half stoppage time to give his side a much-needed win.
Pulisic, Alonso and Willian came close to extending Chelsea’s lead but Krul managed to deny them.
The Blues are fighting for a place in the top four and the win over Norwich has now lifted them to third in the table with 63 points.
They are now four points clear of Leicester City, who are fourth in the table.
Frank Lampard’s men have their fate in their own hands now and they will be hoping to win their remaining games and qualify for next season’s Champions League.
Meanwhile, the defeat leaves Norwich at the bottom of the table with 21 points. The Canaries can now start planning for life in the Championship next season.
They have played impressive football at times this season but they were simply not good enough to grind out results when they needed to.
It will be interesting to see if Chelsea can hold on to a place in the top three. It would ensure automatic qualification to the Champions League and they can avoid the qualifiers.
Chelsea take on Premier League champions Liverpool in their next game and Norwich will host Burnley.
