Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is thought to be frustrated with Matteo Guendouzi’s antics and he is prepared to sell the player this summer.
The midfielder was involved in a training ground bust-up earlier this season and now his attitude against Brighton has angered the manager.
Guendouzi was seen taunting the Brighton players about their inferior wages as compared to that of his and other Arsenal players.
He also grabbed the Brighton star Neal Maupay by the throat.
It will be interesting to see if the midfielder can change his attitude in the coming weeks and convince Arteta that he deserves a chance to stay at the club.
Arsenal have been linked with the Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey in the recent weeks and they could bring him in as a replacement.
The midfielder has done well in La Liga and the Champions League this season and he would be an upgrade on Guendouzi for sure.
Also, his behaviour at the Spanish club has been exemplary so far.
Partey has a £45m release clause and Arteta thinks he will be a bargain at that price.
The reports claim that the transfer is an open secret and the Gunners will sign him this summer.
It will be interesting to see if the Londoners can sign Partey in the coming weeks now. Also, the Guendouzi saga could come to an end soon.
