4. Mario Pasalic
After moving as Chelsea loanee for six seasons, finally, Mario Pasalic has moved to Atalanta this season. The Croatian has played 68 out of total 76 matches under Gian Gasperini in last two season. With a superb placement which was unstoppable for any goalkeeper, he has proved his worth today.
5. Neymar
When Mbappe is not there, it was obviously a big day for Neymar, to prove himself a worthy successor of Messi and Ronaldo as an individual and win the match for Paris Saint-Germain. He was brilliant on the field, but struggled in front of goal, as Paris side was down 0-1 at the halftime break.
His detractors perhaps would not spare him for missing the chances, but he was relentless in his effort today. Neymar did not fail to deliver the much needed win for his team, – to stay in the title hunt. Neymar contributed for both the goals, even though he may not be mentioned in the list of the players, who made assist for those goals.
6. Marquinhos
Marquinhos had the central defensive midfield role to play, which was not an unusual position for him under Thomas Tuchel. He provides extra defensive layer to win the ball back and initialise fresh PSG attacks.
Apart from doing the dirty jobs, the Brazilian today found score-sheet and perhaps the most important goal of the match when he poked home PSG’s equalizer in the 90th minute from a mistimed Neymar attempt.
7. Kylian Mbappe
Kylian Mbappe was not part of starting eleven for obvious reason. He was injured, and no team would like to take any chance with the player of his stature. Thomas Touchel too, initially did not.
But the German manager had to put him on the field with thirty minutes of the match remaining, and the danger of Sarri-like fate looming large if Paris based side were to be eliminated.
Irrespective of the match results, his runs through the left flanks were few beautiful moments of the game.
