The Portuguese forward has joined the Premier League outfit on a season-long loan.

Wolves have completed the signing of Barcelona winger Francisco Trincao on a season-long loan with an option of a permanent transfer next summer.

Barcelona secured a deal worth 31m euros for the Portuguese star after got impressed with his eye-catching form at Braga.

Upon moving to the Nou, the 21-year-old failed to live up to his expectations as he struggled for playing time under Ronald Koeman. Trincao faced fierce competition with the likes of Griezmann, Lionel Messi and Ousmane Dembele, and as a result, he was used as a late substitute by Koeman.

And now, with the addition of star attackers like Memphis Depay and Sergio Aguero, Trincao’s chances became bleak, and hence he opted to move away from the Nou Camp.

Wolves are braced for a brand-new season under new manager Bruno Lage, and they will look to push themselves for the top-four race in the Premier League.

Trincao will be the latest addition of Portuguese to the Wolverhampton side. He is one of few footballers who shared dressing room with both Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

The former Braga winger is known for his directness, dribbling skills and ability to shoot from outside the box. However, it remains to be seen whether he would bed in at the English top-flight.

Wolves already boast a handful of exciting talents in Pedro Neto, Fabio Silva and Adama Traore, and Trinaca’s signing would reinforce their attacking unit.

The Molineux outfit has had a disappointing 2020/21 campaign in the Premier League as they finished 13th in the table.
