Bayern Munich are interested in signing the RB Leipzig midfielder Marcel Sabitzer this summer, and they have already opened talks with the German side regarding a deal.

The Austrian midfielder is nearing the end of his contract at the German club, and he could be available for a knockdown price this summer. The player has been linked with Roma as well

The German champions could use more quality and depth in the midfield, and Sabitzer would be a superb acquisition.

The 27-year-old midfielder is at the peak of his powers, and he has proven his quality in the Bundesliga with RB Leipzig. He will add goals and drive to Bayern’s midfield.

Sabitzer scored nine goals and picked up 7 assists last season.

Sabitzer could make an immediate impact at the Allianz Arena next season, and Bayern’s interest in him is hardly surprising given the fact that the former Leipzig manager Julian Nagelsmann is now in charge of the Bavarian giants.

Sabitzer will be keen on joining a top club this summer, and Bayern are certainly one of the best around.

The 27-year-old will be able to challenge for the Bundesliga and the Champions League titles with a club like Bayern. The chance to reunite with Nagelsmann at the Bavarian club will probably be tempting to the Austrian.

It will be interesting to see if the two clubs can come to an agreement in the coming days and sort out the transfer before the new season begins.
