Hertha BSC attacker Matheus Cunha has been heavily linked with a move away from the German club this summer.

German publication Kicker are reporting that Leeds United have been eyeing up a move for the Brazilian for a long time.

Marcelo Bielsa needs to add more quality and depth to his attacking unit, and Cunha could prove to be a superb long term acquisition for them.

Leeds were overly reliant on Patrick Bamford for goals last season, and they will need more options at their disposal if they are to push for European qualification in Premier League.

The 22-year-old Brazilian has shown his quality with the German side, and he was impressive for Brazil during the Olympics as well.

The Hertha BSC player could lead the line for Leeds next season. Furthermore, he could operate as a wide forward as well. His versatility will be an asset for the Whites.

The 22-year-old chipped in with eight goals and eight assists across all competitions last season.

Meanwhile, Hertha BSC coach Pal Dardai has revealed that Cunha has several offers on the table.

It will be interesting to see if Leeds United can convince the player to move to Elland Road before the transfer window shuts.

The likes of Atalanta, Napoli, Zenit St Petersburg and Atletico Madrid are also thought to be keen on signing the Brazilian.

Meanwhile, other reports claim that Real Madrid have now joined the race to sign the Olympic gold medalist this summer.

Los Blancos are currently reliant on Karim Benzema to lead their attack, and the likes of Eden Hazard, Gareth Bale have not been at their best for some time.

Signing a talented young attacker like Cunha would certainly help them. The Brazilian will add goals and creativity to their attack, and he has the talent to develop into a top-class player for them in the future.
