Inter continued their winning run in Serie A after edging out Bologna away.

Inter Milan have beaten Bologna 1-0 away to move up further in the title race.

Inter had the chance to go eight points clear off  AC Milan, who dropped points after the draw against Sampdoria.

The visitors had a dream start after the star striker Romelu Lukaku opened the account through a tap-in finish after his initial header attempt was saved by the Bologna keeper.

Lukaku’s relentless form in Serie A continues as he currently trails Cristiano Ronaldo in the scorers list with 20 goals. The Belgian hitman, who has turned Nerazzurri into potential title winners, has been watched by a host of top clubs over a transfer move this summer.

7 - Romelu #Lukaku is the 7th player to score 20+ goals in two consecutive Serie A campaigns with #Inter, after Giuseppe Meazza, Amedeo Amadei, Roberto Boninsegna, Mauro Icardi, Stefano Nyers and Christian Vieri. Sniper.

Bologna had a chance to equalise before the break but Soriano’s close-range header flew over the bar.

The home side enjoyed more possession in the second half, especially in the final quarter and Inter were also happily playing on the back foot.

Bologna had all the potential to be a top side but they were let down by the poor decision making and the lack of movement in the final third.

Inter have now won 9 straight games in Serie A, first time since 2007 when they won 17 consecutive games.
