Barcelona submit bid for Chelsea trio

Barcelona have been linked with a move for the Chelsea defenders Antonio RudigerCesar Azpilicueta and Andreas Christensen in recent months.

According to a report from the Telegraph, Barcelona are hoping to take advantage of Chelsea’s problems and sign the three Champions League-winning defenders this summer.

The Catalan giants have already made a bid to sign the three players.

Rudiger and Christensen are nearing the end of their contract at Stamford Bridge and they could be snapped up on free transfers.

Both players have been exceptional for Thomas Tuchel and they could improve Barcelona significantly at the back.

Meanwhile, the Blues have triggered an extension in Azpilicueta’s contract and it will be interesting to see if Barcelona can lure him away from Stamford Bridge in the summer.

Romelu Lukaku hoping for Inter Milan return

In other news, Belgium striker Romelu Lukaku is unhappy with the situation at the London club and he is looking to seal a return to Inter Milan this summer.

The striker joined Chelsea for a club-record fee of around £98 million in the summer but he has scored just 12 goals across all competitions this season.

It is evident that Lukaku has failed to live up to the expectations at Stamford Bridge and it will be interesting to see if Chelsea are willing to cut their losses on him and reinvest the money in another striker this summer.

Meanwhile, Lukaku played his best football at Inter Milan scoring 64 goals in 95 appearances for the Italian club. A return to his comfort zone could allow him to recapture his peak form and it remains to be seen how the situation evolves.
