Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich will be the subject of a documentary by Amazon Prime Video, and the film is set to release on the 2nd of November later this year.

The documentary has been titled FC Bayern – Behind the legend.

Amazon are set to release the documentary in six episodes, and it will be available on the streaming service in November.

The purpose of the film is to give the fans an exclusive behind the scenes insight into the club since summer 2020.

The documentary will feature exclusive access to team meetings, negotiations in the board of directors, executive meetings, fan meetings and on-pitch drama.

Previously, Amazon have created similar documentaries with clubs like Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City, and they have gone down well with the fans.

However, a documentary on such a successful season featuring a massive club like Bayern Munich will likely to take the content to a whole new level.

According to reports, the documentary features over 2000 hours of material and will comprise of footage from almost 150 interviews.

Bayern Munich managed to win the treble while filming the documentary, and the fans will get an incredible insight into the club’s most successful year.

Club legend Oliver Kahn has hailed the importance of the documentary while speaking to the club’s official website earlier.

“We are very pleased that the broadcast of ‘FC Bayern — Behind the Legend’ is getting closer. In this documentary, our fans will experience the club closer than ever before: This is how it works, this is how FC Bayern ticks, with all its characteristics and facets. It is an in-depth series for our supporters all over the world, which will certainly also be of interest to the football fans who normally do not think so with our club,” said Oliver Kahn to FCBayern.com.
