Christian Eriksen keen on Ajax return

Christian Eriksen-Inter Milan

Inter Milan midfielder Christian Eriksen is apparently keen on a return to his former club Ajax.

According to Fichajes, the Dutch outfit are extremely keen on signing the Denmark international but negotiations have proven difficult with Inter Milan so far.

Eriksen has played for Ajax between 2009 to 2014 and he left them for Tottenham Hotspur.

The midfielder suffered a massive scare during the European Championships last summer. Eriksen collapsed on the pitch during a game because of cardiac arrest and there were rumours that you would never play football again.

However, it seems that the Danish international has recovered fully and he is looking to get his career back on track.

Eriksen has had a tough time at Inter Milan even before his medical condition and it would be wise of him to move on. It will be interesting to see if the midfielder can agree to terminate his contract with the Italian outfit and join Ajax on a free transfer.

The Dutch outfit have been exceptional this season and Eriksen could be a useful option for them.

The Danish international knows the club well and he should be able to settle in quickly and make an immediate impact for the remainder of the season.

As for Inter Milan, this would be a good opportunity for them to reduce their wage bill and get rid of a player who is unlikely to be a key part of their starting eleven going forward. It remains to be seen how the situation unfolds in the coming weeks.
