Barcelona picked up a 3-0 win over Real Valladolid in the Spanish League earlier tonight.
The Spanish Giants took the lead on the 21st minute through Clement Lenglet. The defender met Messi’s teasing cross into the box to plant a thumping header into the back of the net.
Barcelona doubled their advantage on the 35th minute when Sergino Dest send a piercing cross across the face of the goal and Braithwaite guided it into the Valladolid net.
The Spanish Giants were in control from start to finish and they could have easily scored a lot more but the likes of Philippe Coutinho and Lionel Messi hit the post multiple times.
Barcelona wrapped up their scoring on the 64th minute when Lionel Messi capitalized on a through pass in behind the Valladolid defence from Pedri and slotted it into the net.
The Argentine superstar has now scored his 644th goal for Barcelona and he has beaten Pepe’s record of most goals scored at a single club.
Meanwhile, Sergino Dest picked up his first assist for Barcelona tonight and the youngster will have gained immense confidence.
The win takes Barcelona up to 5th in the standings with 24 points from 14 matches and they are now eight points adrift of the leaders Atletico Madrid.
Meanwhile, Valladolid are 18th in the League table after tonight’s defeat just two points above bottom-placed Huesca.
