FA Cup Roundup: Arsenal crash out of the competition as Man City cruise to the next round

Southampton picked up a stunning 1-0 win over Arsenal in the FA Cup earlier tonight and Ralph Hasenhuttl will be delighted with his team’s performance.

The Saints have been in impressive form this season and they managed to pull off an upset against the Gunners.

Mikel Arteta has been under pressure due to Arsenal’s poor from the season and the Londoners let him down once again tonight.

Elsewhere, Bristol City picked up a 3-0 win over Millwall to book their place in the next round of the competition.

Premier League strugglers Brighton picked up a narrow win over Blackpool and Sheffield United edged past Plymouth.

West Ham United continued their impressive start to the season with a 4-0 win over Doncaster and championship outfit Swansea thrashed Nottingham Forest 5-1.

Barnsley cruised past Norwich and Cheltenham were beaten by Premier League Giants Manchester City 3-1 at home. Pep Guardiola’s side have been in red hot form recently and they were deservedly the winners of tonight’s contest. 

The likes of Manchester City will be favourites to win the competition this season and it will be interesting to see if they can go all the way.

Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool will be in action tomorrow night and it remains to be seen if the Premier League heavyweights can book their place in the next round of the competition by winning their respective matches.
