Federico Valverde sidelined for months with leg injury

Fredrico Velverde in press conference after Atletico vs Real Madrid match

Real Madrid midfielder Federico Valverde has suffered a broken leg, and he is set to be sidelined for a lengthy period now.

The Uruguayan midfielder was replaced on 76 minutes during the game against Valencia on Sunday, and Real Madrid ended up losing the match 4-1.

Valverde is one of the most talented young players in La Liga right now, and his absence will undoubtedly come as a significant blow to Real Madrid.

It will be interesting to see if the Spanish outfit decide to dip into the transfer market in January to cope with his absence. Real Madrid are now left with just Kroos and Modric as their reliable central midfielders.

Valverde has a big future ahead of him, and he has already managed to establish himself as a first-team player for Zinedine Zidane.

The midfielder will be gutted with the injury blow especially after the development he has undergone this season.

He could have been a critical player for Real Madrid in the coming months, and it remains to be seen if he can return strongly and make an impact for Real Madrid towards the end of this season now.

Following tests carried out on our player, Federico Valverde, by Real Madrid Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with a fracture in the posterior tibial bone in his right leg. His recovery will continue to be assessed.
