Firmino needs to recapture his form if Liverpool want to win the title again

Newcastle 1-3 Liverpool Reds finished season with 99 points

Liverpool striker Roberto Firmino has been very poor form since the start of last season and it will be interesting to see how the Reds cope with this situation going forward.

There is no doubt that the Brazilian is a world-class player on his day but he has been struggling for quite some time and it wouldn’t be surprising if Liverpool decided to invest in a new striker when the transfer window opens in January.

Jurgen Klopp will certainly, be worried about his star striker’s form and he will be hoping to get the best out of Firmino in the coming months.

It seems that the Brazilian is exhausted and he needs an extended spell on the sidelines so that he can regain his sharpness and quality.

Summer signing Diogo Jota has been in red hot form and the Portuguese international can certainly fill in for Firminountil the Brazilian manages to recapture his form.

Liverpool will be hoping to defend their Premier League title this season and they will need their front three in good form in order to do so.

Mane and Salah have started the season in reasonably good form and Firmino will have to raise his performances as well.

The Brazilian international has scored just 13 goals in his last 64 appearances for Liverpool and those numbers are simply unacceptable at a club looking to challenge for the Champions League and the Premier League every year.

If Firmino fails to recapture his form this season it is highly likely that Liverpool will invest in a top-class striker next summer and Borussia Dortmund star ErlingHaaland has been linked with the Reds in the recent months.
