Atletico have identified De Paul as one of their summer targets.

Atletico Madrid are reportedly considering a summer move for Udinese midfielder Rodrigo de Paul.

Diego Simeone’s men, who won the La Liga title for the 20/21 season, plan for reinforcements and have identified De Paul as one of the targets.

However, it has been added that Atletico are struggling to meet the £35m valuations for the Udinese midfielder, who is also wanted by Premier League clubs Leeds United and Liverpool.

Leeds have long been linked with the Argentine midfielder as Marcelo Bielsa appears to be an admirer of him.

Liverpool are also said to be in contention for the 26-year-old after reports emerged that they had held talks with the player’s representatives.

Besides, Serie A outfit AC Milan, who finished fourth this season, are also keeping tabs on the highly-rated Argentine.

De Paul joined Udinese in 2016 and has since been an integral part, with his performances over the last two seasons has caught the attention of top clubs.

Although Udinese haven’t enjoyed much success in recent years, De Paul’s consistency remains unflattered.

The former Racing star’s contribution for his side, have been 9 goals and 10 assists in the recently concluded Serie A campaign. Besides, he excels at all metrics needed for a creative midfielder.

De Paul has been called up by Argentine national team manager Lionel Scaloni for the upcoming World Cup Qualifiers and is expected to play a big part for Copa America as well.
