Barcelona lost quality players like Lionel Messi and Antoine Griezmann at the start of the season, and the Spanish outfit are in line to lose some of their brightest young prospects next summer.

The likes of PedriAnsu Fati, Ousmane Dembele and Sergi Roberto are all in the final year of their contract, and they will be free agents next summer.

Pedri has been a revelation for Barcelona since breaking into the first-team scene, and he has already established himself as a mainstay for club and country.

The 18-year-old midfielder played 64 games across all competitions last year for Barcelona and the Spanish national team.

He is widely regarded as one of the finest young talents to have come out of the La Masia Academy, and Barcelona simply cannot afford to lose him.

It remains to be seen whether the Catalan giants can agree on a new deal with the midfielder in the coming months.

Meanwhile, Ansu Fati is in a similar situation, and the prodigious attacker has been handed Lionel Messi’s number 10 shirt recently.

Fati is the youngest scorer in Barcelona’s La Liga history and the history of the Spanish national team as well. The youngster has the potential to develop into a world-class footballer, and Barcelona must do everything in their power to renew his contract.

There have been rumours of a possible contract extension for French international winger Ousmane Dembele.

Since his move from Borussia Dortmund, the 24-year-old has been plagued with injuries, but he is a top-class player on his day, and Barcelona will do well to keep him.

Finally, Sergi Roberto has been a very useful utility man for Barcelona over the years, and the Spanish club could use his experience and versatility in the future.
