Real Madrid agree summer move with world class defender

Real Madrid are all set to sign David Alaba at the end of this season.

The 28 year old Bayern Munich defender has now agreed a four year contract with the Spanish Giants and he will join them on a free transfer once his contract with the German club is over.

The Austrian international can play in multiple positions and his versatility will be a bonus for Zidane and Real Madrid.

With the likes of Marcelo and Ramos in the Twilight of their career, Real Madrid could use some backup in the defensive positions and Alaba will be a superb option to have.

The 28 year old has proven himself at the club level and he has won every trophy possible with the German outfit. He has the quality and the winning experience join a club like Real Madrid.

Furthermore signing a player of his calibre on a free transfer would be a masterstroke from the Spanish outfit.

Alaba has been linked with a move to the Premier League as well but it seems that Real Madrid have now managed to fend off the competition and secure his services.

Real Madrid are in desperate need of a rebuild right now and it will be interesting to see if they dip into the transfer market to bring in more quality players like Alaba this summer.

Most of their key players are in their 30s and they will need replacing soon.
