Real Madrid are thought to be keen on bringing Cristiano Ronaldo back to the club.

According to Football Insider, the Spanish giants could bring the 36-year-old back to Santiago Bernabeu just three years after he left for Juventus.

Apparently, Ralf Rangnick’s arrival could have a significant impact on the future of Ronaldo at Manchester United and there are beliefs that the Portuguese international might not be suitable for the German manager’s high pressing style of football.

That said, Ronaldo has been outstanding in the two games he has played under Ralf Rangnick so far and he has shown a willingness to work hard for his side.

It would be quite surprising if Manchester United let him leave after just one season at the club.

The 36-year-old has scored 450 goals in 438 games for the Spanish club during his nine-year spell and he could prove to be a quality short term addition for Carlo Ancelotti’s side.

Real Madrid could definitely use more depth in their attack and it will be interesting to see if they make a move to bring the Portuguese international back to the club at the end of this season.

Meanwhile, Ronaldo has been exceptional since his return to Manchester United and he has helped the Premier League side win multiple matches so far.

The 36-year-old has 13 goals and two assists in 18 appearances for the Red Devils so far this season.

Ronaldo is undoubtedly the best goal scorer at the Premier League club right now and it would be a mistake letting him leave without bringing in adequate reinforcements.

Manchester United have been linked with Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund and it remains to be seen whether they can sign the Norwegian before letting the Portuguese international return to Real Madrid.
