Ronald Koeman eyeing pivotal Barcelona role for Ansu Fati

Barcelona manager Ronald Koeman has hinted at a key role for youngster Ansu Fati this season.

The 17 year old has managed to break into the first team scene this season and he has been outstanding for his club and country so far.

The young attacker scored a brace against Villarreal in the last game and he managed to set up another for Lionel Messi.

Fati is rated highly at the club and he has a immense future ahead of him. It will be interesting to see if he can continue his development with regular first team football and fulfill his potential at Camp Nou.

Ronald Koeman sees him as a key part of his first team plans going forward and the new Barcelona manager’s comments will certainly delight the youngster.

Furthermore, Barcelona’s decision to sell Luis Suarez to Atletico Madrid will also help fatty play more often and it will aid his development as a player. The Uruguayan would have taken valuable minutes off Fati’s game time. 

Speaking to the media about the talented young forward, Ronald Koeman said: “Ansu is a young player, and we are still seeking consistency in his performances. He has a great future and I am happy with his performance against Villarreal. His progress has been enormous, and we have benefitted from that. He keeps proving his worth and we are confident he will keeping developing.”
