Barcelona appointed Ronald Koeman as new manager

Barcelona are looking for a significant rebuild this summer and new manager Ronald Koeman has identified three top targets for the Catalan giants.

According to reports, Barcelona want to sign Eric Garcia from Manchester City, Lautaro Martinez from Inter Milan and Jose Gaya from Valencia.

It will be interesting to see if they can land all three players in the coming weeks.

Lautaro Martinez

Lautaro Martinez has been linked with a move to Barcelona for a while now and the Spanish giants should do everything to bring him to the club this summer.

Martinez could be the ideal long term replacement for Luis Suarez who is expected to leave the club.

Eric Garcia

Meanwhile, Eric Garcia could also be an impressive long term addition to Barcelona’s defence.

Gerard Pique is past his peak and his form has dipped over the past year.

The Spanish international will need to be phased out of the first team squad soon and Garcia could be his replacement.

Garcia wants to leave Manchester City this summer and he has already informed the Premier League giants that he will not extend his contract with them. He has just one year left on his current deal with Manchester City and Barcelona have already submitted an offer of around 10 million euros for the player.

Jose Gaya

Finally, Koeman will look to sign Jose Gaya from Valencia. The Spanish club are in a financial crisis right now and they could be open to a sale. Gaya has a release clause of 50 million euros and Barcelona will have to pay up if they want to sign the left-back this summer.
