Barcelona manager Ronald Koeman is willing to give Philippe Coutinho a chance to prove himself at the club once again.

The Brazilian midfielder was on loan at Bayern Munich last season and he was quite impressive for the German outfit.

Coutinho was signed for a massive fee from Liverpool but he struggled to express himself at Barcelona.

Valverde used the midfielder on the wings and the Brazilian failed to deliver consistently.

According to reports Koeman plans to use Coutinho in the central midfield.

Coutinho played in a similar role at Liverpool and he was a star player for the Reds.

A return to his natural position could help him regain his form and sharpness next season. Although the Brazilian has the flair to play as a wide player, his close control, vision, creativity is best utilised in the midfield.

It will be interesting to see if Ronald Koeman manages to get the best out of the Brazilian midfielder this coming season.

On his day, Philippe Coutinho is a match-winner and he could make a big difference to Barcelona’s attack if he manages to regain his form next season.

Barcelona will be hoping to win the La Liga title and the Champions League next season and they could use all the help they can get.

There is no doubt that the Spanish club needs to bring in quality players this summer but it is equally important to get the best out of the fringe players at the club.

The new Barcelona manager is no longer interested in a loan deal for the midfielder and Coutinho will only leave the Spanish club if a club is willing to pay the asking price for him.
