The Dutch manager is set for a squad overhaul ahead of next season.

Barcelona manager Ronald Koeman looks to be not interested in continuing with stars such as Luis Suarez and Philippe Coutinho.

According to reports, several first-team players including Jordi Alba and Gerard Pique have been put on transfer exchange as Barca are set for a squad overhaul following a dreadful season.

Koeman is also reportedly eyeing a move for his compatriot Georginio Wijnaldum. The Liverpool star has been sorted out by the Dutch gaffer to reinforce the midfield ahead of next season. The 29-year-old has a contract running until 2021 at Anfield.

Suarez, 33, has been linked with a move to his former club Ajax while his former Liverpool team-mate Philippe Coutinho could see his future in the Premier League. However, Bartomeu has stated that Coutinho can survive at Barca if Koeman wants.

Nonetheless, the Uruguayan striker wants to survive at the Nou Camp next season as he still has a year left in his current deal. Suarez looks a shadow of his former self for the past two seasons as his scoring rate has dipped.

In the case of Jordi Alba, the Spaniard has a contract running until 2024, which makes it difficult for Barca to sell him this summer. Gerard Pique has recently received an offer from newly-promoted Fulham.

Above all, Koeman is working on convincing Lionel Messi to trust his project and stay at the club. The Blaugrana skipper has been subject to exit links after yet another Champions League humiliation this season.

Barca are reportedly looking to lose as many as eight players this summer to pave the way for Koeman’s transfer targets.

The 57-year-old has been signed by the Blaugrana on a two-year deal, and it will be interesting to see how the Dutchman could implement his changes next season.
