Vinicius Junior agrees on a new contract with Real Madrid

Vinicius Junior-Real Madrid

Brazilian forward Vinicius Junior is all set to sign a new contract with Real Madrid in the coming weeks.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the Brazilian international has already found an agreement with the Spanish giants and his new contract will keep him at the club until the summer of 2026.

A formal announcement is expected in July, and the player will have a release clause of around one billion euros.

Vinicius has been a key player for Real Madrid over the past 12 months, and he helped them win the Spanish league and the Champions League.

The Brazilian scored the winning goal in the final of the Champions League, and he has a massive future ahead of him.

There is no doubt that Vinicius has the potential to develop into a superstar in the future, and it makes sense for Real Madrid to hold on to him for the long run.

The Brazilian has already endeared himself to the Real Madrid faithful, and the fans will be delighted to see him committing his long-term future to the La Liga club.

With the likes of Karim Benzema in the twilight years, Real Madrid will have to start thinking about the future, and Vinicius is undoubtedly a big part of the club’s future.

When Real Madrid signed Eden Hazard from Chelsea, the Belgian was expected to start ahead of the Brazilian on the left flank. Still, Vinicius has done well to secure his place as a key starter for Carlo Ancelotti.

It’ll be interesting to see if he can continue to hold down a regular starting berth at Real Madrid in the coming seasons as well.

The 21-year-old scored 22 goals and picked up 20 assists across all competitions for Real Madrid last season, and he will be looking to improve on those numbers next year.
