The legendary midfielder is ready to quit his managerial role at Qatar club Al Sadd.

Barcelona legend Xavi is open to making a return to the Nou Camp as the La Liga giants continue to search thier replacements for Ronald Koeman.

The Dutch manager is facing an uncertain future at the Nou Camp after a poor run of results in recent weeks.

After the 3-0 defeat against Bayern Munich in their Champions League option, Barca have failed to pick up a win in both of their league games against Granada and Cadiz.

Reports have been emerging of late that Koeman could be on the chopping block if Barca manage to find a successor in the coming weeks.

According to a new report from EuroSport, former midfielder Xavi, who is currently serving as the manager of Al Sadd, is open to making a return to the Nou Camp.

The Spaniard has long been mooted to become the manager of the Blaugrana due to his roots with the club.

Despite being tied to a contract until next year, the Qatari club will not stand in Xavi’s way if he wants to return to his former club.

However, the Spanish gaffer would not negotiate a deal with Koeman being in charge due to his immense respect for the former Netherlands coach.

Former Barca midfielder Andres Iniesta also recently stated that Xavi has been dreaming to coach the Catalan club, with whom he enjoyed an illustrious career as a player.

Koeman quit his national team job to become the manager of the Catalan club last year and he was decent in his debut season, leading the club to Copa del Rey trophy.

Belgium national team coach Roberto Martinez is another name being considered by the Catalan club.
